Pawtucket Drainz!- 9/22/07

This drain hasn't been officially named yet, but I'm thinking we'll dub it DeadEnd, due to the random dead end of it. Bricked off at the end, it's best feature was a tiny slide leading up 5 feet to a smaller RCP. We didn't head that way cause time was running short. The rest of the drain was a 6 foot RCP with a small portion of RBP. We'll be back for more shots. Most of the time I was inside, I was attempting to film our trip. The video can be found at http://www.dailymotion.com/punkue/video/x31r13_drain_travel
The video isn't great, but it shows what we view as we walk these pipes. -PunkUE

These were taken at DeathTrap in Pawtucket. We didn't venture in far due to Turrels little mishap with his feet. Maybe one day he'll learn to walk. I'm vowing right now to return here someday soon with some quality pics. -PunkUE

This was taken right before Turrels defeat and the only interior of DeathTrap I have.

This set theoretically should have been first on the post, but I forgot and don't feel like switching it. This set was taken at Spillway in Pawtucket. A 3' tall square spillway passage that looked a lot more promising until we walked through. The brick was nice and the water warm. Good times.

Pawtucket Drainz!(Turrels)- 9/22/07

This set was Taken by Turrel at the culvert now known as Spillway. A very tiny culvert in height actually looked like it had potential right until we rounded the first corner and was greeted by a redbrick spillway leading to the bright light known as the end. He only took a few and I got in the way of most, but here they are. -PunkUE Out

This is the last photo taken with my Nikkon CoolPix before it took the plunge. At least she went out with a splash. Turrel took this photo right before taking the first steps into what is now going to be called The DeathTrap Drain. As soon as he took the first few steps in with me trailing right behind the rushing water swept him off his feet. I really wish I could find some way to express how fucking funny it was, but nothing seems to work. Oh, it was great. Anyways, happy Turrel is still alive and willing to crawl underground. That fucking thing banged him up pretty decent. A moment of silence for the Nikkon........Ok. Enjoy. -PunkUE

Dying To Get In(Turrels)- 9/22/07

This set was taken by Turrel at the first cemetery of the day. He took a few nice shots of this little guy and here they are. -PunkUE Out

This set is from Swan Point. This set of photos was taken by Turrel, a semi-local explorer and great kid. All pics taken with my old Nikkon. Big thanks to Turrel for showing me around. I had a great time. -PunkUE Out.

Dying To Get In-9/22/07

We started off in one cemetery(Can't recall the name) and ended up in Swan Point. We passed through this cemetery on our way to our destination and were greeted with this cute little guy. Wide open and waiting for me to walk in. Nothing special, but I liked it so Fuck you. Thanks to Turrel for showing me around and be sure to check out his set from these cemeteries once I post them. -PunkUE Out

The next set is from Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, RI. We had reached the end of the other cemetery when I was told to hop over some Giant rocks. I did as told and was presented with a huge, beautiful mausoleum. I've driven by Swan Point many times, but never got around to going in. Now I have and I only took a few shots. Here they are. Enjoy. -PunkUE Out

Pot Palace Gravel Co.- 9/19/07

I just barely caught this place out of the corner of my eye one day while driving by. Nestled back in the woods sits a long forgotten gravel company. A local hangout for teens smoking dope is my guess judging by the name of the place. Looks more like they were hanging out back in '94 though judging by most the vandalism. A pretty lame exploration, but it was something to do for a few hours.

A Few Randoms-9/16/07

I was at a random Pow Wow one day and was bored and hungry so we headed over to Dunkin Donuts. When we arrived, I realized I knew where we were. There was a sewer I had vaguely scouted the entrance to right across the parking lot. I had my camera so I headed over. It smells fucking horrible and looks worse, but I still have a strong urge to climb in and walk around. Any takers? Just a few. Enjoy. -PunkUE

This was just some random building that happened to be on my way to take a few pics of the last sewer. The door was wide open so I had to go in. Really kind of lame, but it was the first abandoned building I've been in since my surgery. Baby steps. -PunkUE

Foster Exteriors-9/10/07

The Foster Building. So many things come to mind when I hear those 3 words. This building has meant so much to so many people. Also known as "The Band Rooms", this building was a home away from home for local musicians, artists, and die hard fans for years. An old mill building converted into rehearsal studios, the building was also home to a sobriety house and was the headquarters of the infamous Paddleboro S&M Club. See link below for story. The building was closed years ago after being declared unsafe(Something the rest of us had known for years). A large portion of the building was later torn down to make way for a fucking parking lot. So many bands started and ended their careers in the damp, cold hallways of this building. I spent a very decent portion of my childhood/early teen years wandering the floors here enjoying good friends, good music, and making some of the best memories of my life. I don't even know how to describe this building and make it seem like it would have if you had visited when it was open. Vans blowing up in the parking lot, fights in the back, drunks falling down the ridiculously steep splintering stair set outside, people being covered in permanent marker for passing out, people duct-taped to poles upside down, acid trip glow in the dark hide and seek, and so much more. This place was a fucking madhouse and somehow we all got away with everything not 100 feet from the local police station. Great times. This building was host to such local and semi-local acts as Room W/A View, Soulshed, Tung, NoName Maddox, Itchy Fish, Skitzochant, KancerHed, FairHaven, and Flip 22. You can find more about The Foster Building at my first ever website made so long ago I don't even remember making it. http://www.fosterbuilding.1hwy.com/

You can find more about the S&M mishap at http://archive.salon.com/sex/world/2000/07/20/cops/

You can find a MySpace made by some "Mysterious" person. It's not made by me. It's at Http://www.myspace.com/fosterbuilding

I'm getting sick of writing and having too many memories. Gotta go. Enjoy. For now, just exteriors. Interiors soon. -PunkUE

R.I.P. Mr Foster. We all miss you

Johnson Industrial Fabricators- 9/09/07

I found this place right after exploring M&M Auto Body. I don't know any history of the building, but in the offices there were many personal effects left behind. Family photos, Diplomas, And plaques hung the walls and scattered the floors. I'm too lazy to write so enjoy. -PunkUE

M&M Auto Body-9/09/07

I had been eyeing this place for a while, but due to the number of cars parked outside decided against it. I went by early one Sunday afternoon only to find all the cars gone. I walked over and peeked through one of the windows. Definitely abandoned. Found an entry and explored around for a few. Nothing of total interest, just basically an empty garage. Still something new and a decent time. -PunkUE

Flooding Basement House-9/08/07

Actually tried to bring Mr. Meister and Miss G to this house a while back with no luck. This place is boarded pretty tight. Went back with J Greeny only to find another entrance that should have been obvious to me in the first place. Once inside the basement was flooding and the house was pretty empty. -PunkUE
