Huge Fucking Bridge-2/19/07

On Monday I had plans to go draining with Mr. Meister but those fell through. Taco, a friend of mine, said he knew of an old mill building in Cumberland that he used to hang out near when he was a kid. He said it was abandoned when he was a kid but he hadnt seen it in years. KareBear, Mr. Meister, Taco and I set out around 1:30 on a slight chance the mill would still be there. As we pulled down the street the mill was located on it was abundantly clear that the mill had been rennovated into loft apartments. Shit! I drove to the end of the road and was faced by this absolutley massive concrete bridge. The bridge, which is 870 ft. long and 56 ft. wide, is about 70 ft. above the valley and spans not only the river but also a canal, railroad line, mill complex, and a bicycle path. I had never seen anything this big in person before and instantly the whole mood of the trip lightened up. We walked around this huge, huge structure for somewhere close to an hour before taking off. The architecture was amazing

In this town friends come and go quickly so I used this day to take many candids as well

Can you tell I liked the backbone?

Since Mr. Meister fucked up these next few shots
the "X" is where I was climbing to 70 feet up
