Cliff side Quarry II -2/27/07

Last time I visited the cliff side quarry I left my skateboard behind by accident. I wanted to get it back so I called Mr. Meister and we headed off to retrieve it. I figured since we'd be next to the cliff anyways I'd bring along my camera and try and get a few shots. These were the best from the day. T-Shirts Gone Wrong-2/25/07

May I present to you the first ever Abandoned Dreams Exploration T-shirts. Wicked gay huh? I'm cheap and the printer I used fucked up the colors. The images are both from Empire Industries taken by Abandoned Dreams members. The black shirt features the wooden ladder to the water tower taken by Purple Haze and the white shirt features the third floor hallway taken by PunkUE. I plan on making better shirts soon and I'll post them on here as well. Hopefully those will be a hell of a lot better. -PunkUE Out.

"Disrepair" Cemetery-2/23/07

This afternoon I got bored and decided to head out and capture one of the many cemeteries in my town that are in disrepair. Hence the name "Disrepair" Cemetery. I only stayed about 45 minutes, until my hands were stinging before returning home. I am getting sick of seeing this happen to cemeteries all over my town. A lot of the damage is erosion due to time, but the majority is just stupid fukerds. It's a shame really, especially with the cemeteries in my town being so old, but I'll do what I can to capture them before it's too late and they're gone forever.

Drain To Nowhere-2/22/07

Thursday around noon Mr. Meister called me and asked if I would be interested in crawling around in a few small storm drains. Since I didn't have anywhere to be until 5:00 I was down. I picked him up and we headed off to some local outflows. We knew the drains were very small in diameter and would probably lead to nowhere but we figured we'd crawl in a few hundred feet and hope for the best. Like we thought, it was just an endlessly tight, long, mucky drain to nowhere. We got bored with it and decided to just walk around in the river since we had the waterproof boots on anyways and snap some random shots. Nothing good but here was our day.

Ruins Behind Church-2/21/07

For quite some time now I've had vauge memories of a building that was located behind a local church. I first saw this building back in like 1990 when I was in boyscouts and had forgotton about it until about 6 months ago. Because I was not exactly sure where this place was I never got around to even looking for it until this afternoon. I headed out around 2 PM on my short walk to the church. As I entered the woods behind the church I was met by barricades of thorn bushes. I worked my way through them and was faced with my destination. The building, now nothing more than ruins, was not what I was hoping for or expecting but I made due with what I had to work with. Photos by: PunkUE

Quick Question To All-2/21/07

With the quickly growing popularity in Abandoned Dreams Exploration, I was just a bit curious as to where everyone heard about Abandoned Dreams Exploration from. I know I've shared the link with lots, but I was wondering where YOU found out about it. Just post a comment and let me know. Also if there are any suggestions for the website as well as any and all feedback is welcome, even if you hate everything Abandoned Dreams is. It'll take 2 seconds and feed me with all the info I've been pondering about. Thanks to all who have taken the time out of their schedules to look into my group. Much love.

Early Sploring With Fallout-2/20/07

Early This morning I was contacted by Matt Fallout, the kid who actually inspired me to begin Urbexing. He was just as bored as I was and we decided to check out the Leavens Awards Company. We started the morning earlier than when we headed to Leavens, but thats just too much typing so I'll just start from there. We parked the car and headed off before the sunrise on the short walk to the building. We entered and sat around bullshitting for 30 minutes until the sun was up enough to take any photos. I have shot the fuck out of this building many times so I didnt take too many photos today, but showing off one of my personal favorite locations to the dude who's photos made me want to start exploring myself was an honor. Mr. Fallout, thanks for coming along and I hope you enjoyed yourself. Photos by: PunkUE.

Cliffside Quarry-2/19/07

Monday afternoon after hitting up a huge fucking bridge we picked up Miss G and headed over to The Monastery in Cumberland. I have been there once before but have no memory of the experience. We decided on The Monastery when Taco told me about a huge cliff. I grabbed my skateboard out of the trunk and KareBear, Mr. Meister, Miss G, Taco and I headed onto the ice covered trail. After "Iceboarding" for a few I got sick of carrying my deck and tossed it to the side of the path to grab on the way out. Sure enough on the way out we took a different trail. If anyone is in The Monastery in Cumberland, RI and you find a deck...Merry Christmas. Heres the photos. Photos by:PunkUE, KareBear, Mr. Meister, and Taco. Photos from Miss G soon to come possibly.

Huge Fucking Bridge-2/19/07

On Monday I had plans to go draining with Mr. Meister but those fell through. Taco, a friend of mine, said he knew of an old mill building in Cumberland that he used to hang out near when he was a kid. He said it was abandoned when he was a kid but he hadnt seen it in years. KareBear, Mr. Meister, Taco and I set out around 1:30 on a slight chance the mill would still be there. As we pulled down the street the mill was located on it was abundantly clear that the mill had been rennovated into loft apartments. Shit! I drove to the end of the road and was faced by this absolutley massive concrete bridge. The bridge, which is 870 ft. long and 56 ft. wide, is about 70 ft. above the valley and spans not only the river but also a canal, railroad line, mill complex, and a bicycle path. I had never seen anything this big in person before and instantly the whole mood of the trip lightened up. We walked around this huge, huge structure for somewhere close to an hour before taking off. Photos by: PunkUE, KareBear, Mr. Meister, and Taco.

No Sewer Fun :( -2/17/07

For a while now, I've been doing alot of reading up on draining, both in storm drains and sanitary sewer systems. I'd mentioned it to people in the past only to be looked at like I had 3 heads. Fukerds! Anyways, during a recent conversation with Mr. Meister. he told me draining would be something he'd be into trying out. Sweet! I popped a few random manholes only to be met by round chambers with nowhere to go. Upon talking to a newly acquainted and much more experienced drainer I was informed that the flow looked like it would lead to an interceptor, which could possibly be walkable. I haven't looked into it yet but I plan to follow the manholes further in both directions and try and find something to play in. There is a few outflows I posted a while back that Mr. Meister and I are going to be checking out soon. Now here are 3 shots of what all the manholes I've popped so far have unveiled.-PunkUE Out

Friday afternoon I set out for another random trek through the lesser-known woodlands of my town. I set off around 2:30 and hiked for somewhere close to 4 and a half hours. Photos by: PunkUE

Inside Grampies House-2/12/07

Sunday evening I received a phone call from a buddy of mine that I see from time to time. He told me he had seen the Abandoned Dreams website and was interested in what we do so he called a mutual friend and got my number. We talked on the phone for a good 45 minutes and I could see he was showing a genuine interest in Urban Exploration so I invited him to tag along with me to "Grampies House". He accepted and we made the plans to head out on Monday to explore my grandfathers old house.
Monday afternoon I picked up Mr. Meister at his house and we headed towards a large power line trail(Pics below)and started our hike through the woods hoping to come out behind the property. After walking along some pretty shitty terrain for 45 minutes or so the back of the house came into view and we knew we had arrived. we found an entrance and headed inside only to find it had been almost completely gutted. I was pretty pissed but tried to make the best of it. I'll let the photo's bring you through the whole story. -PunkUE
