A Couple Drain Outflows-1/30/07

After walking around St. Stephens Cemetery for a little while I decided to head down a path running alongside the railway a few friends of mine and I used to slum around on. As I walked along the path I saw the old bridge we would hang out at and bullshit. As I neared the bridge I noticed 3 drain outfalls on the other side of the river. With no other way across I climbed up onto a small metal pipe sticking out of the bridge about 25 feet above the river. I side stepped my way across and met up with the outfalls. I snapped a few photos and headed off into the sunset. I plan on heading back with my skateboard and my gear and climbing in. Heres the photos from the path and the outfalls.-PunkUE Out

St. Stephens Cemetery-1/30/07

Yesterday I got bored and decided to head off to St. Stephens Cemetery In Attleboro. I've shot this place well over 25 times so taking home decent shots was a bit difficult. It was freezing cold, but I had to get out and photograph something. Heres a few from the cemetery. Enjoy

I never noticed how creepy her eyes were

This marker was made form what looked to me like driftwood

Police Training Fields-1/29/07

Today I headed down to the local water treatment center reservoir in search of some drains I had heard about from a friend. I found no drains, but happened across an active Police Weapons Training Field. Not what I was hoping to find today but all in all I had a really good time walking around enjoying the weather before it got too unbearable.

Upon arrival I was met with an impressive waterfall

A shot from the top looking down

This was the river I now had to figure out how to cross

It was cold enough out to make ice on branches

The fallen tree I crossed to access the other side of the river

I figured it would be locked but tried the handle anyways

It was unlocked and full of human paper targets

A few smaller neon circular targets were laying around as well

Some Interesting Artifacts-1/26/07

The other day I got bored and decided to explore the Leavens Awards Company as posted in the last blog. In the last few minutes of my exploration I happened upon a small pit in the floor. I proceeded to take the rotting boards off of the pit hoping to possibly find a tunnel or something cool. Unfortunately no tunnels but a big pile of dirt and oil with different sized plates and pins made of either bronze or brass. I took somewhere close to 30 home with me and proceeded to clean them off. I was amazed with the results of a little tough scrubbing. I'm planning on returning them to where I found them as soon as the weather gets a little warmer for future explorers to admire. PunkUE out

Leavens Awards Co.-1/24/07

I have explored the Leavens Awards Co. before a few times but out of boredom decided to go and try and find somethings I may have overlooked. You can find more photos from my last trip to the Leavens Awards Co. on the old Abandoned Dreams Website at http://www.ade.1hwy.com. Anyways here are the photos from today. The last photo was of some insignia's I found in a little pit covered by plywood. There was somewhere around 100 of them so I took the ones in the photo home to clean and photograph. Enjoy

A few From Woodlawn Cemetery-1/22/07

I got bored today so I walked over to Woodlawn Cemetery in Attleboro. Over the years I've shot the hell out of this place. Cold and frustrated after 2 hours I walked away unsatisfied with only 22 photos to show, only 15 I liked. Here they are.

Shots of the old Mansfield Town Hall-1/19/07(Night)

KareBear and I happened to be in Masfield and I figured why not stop and grab some photos of this beautiful brick building. From what I've been told this is the old Town Hall of Mansfield. Having never lived in Mansfield I have no knowledge of what it was so thats what I'm assuming it is. If I'm worng, feel free to comment and let me know. Heres the photo's.

Peck Family Burial Ground-1/19/07

Yesterday I was supposed to go exploring with Purple Haze but he couldn't get the day off work so I decided to head over to the Peck Family Burial Ground. A small, fenced in 30x30 square area that had its first bodies buried there in 1723 that has long since been forgotton by the public. The cemetery sits behind a newly constructed CVS and is hardly visible unless you know where it is. The land is unkept and overgrown and many of the historical grave markers have been knocked down either by vandals and aging effects. It was cold out, but the lighting was decent and i walked away with a few photos. Here they are.

Taunton State Hospital-Outside The Gates-1/15/07

A few days ago a rumor was started within the UE community that The Historic Preservation Society was going to be hosting an "open house" where they were to be opening the gates to the abandoned Taunton State Hospital for all to walk around the exterior of the building and take in it's beauty. 2 days after the rumor was started it was revealed as a hoax when the origional information source posted a supposed link to a newspaper article about it and a phone number for more info. The link was to a photo of some douchebags with "haha" painted above them and the phone number was a rejection hotline. I had already made plans to go and saw no reason why not to go even if the gates would be locked tight as usual. Overall Im glad I went. It was a dismal, foggy afternoon and I got some great photos of a gorgeous building. Photos taken by: PunkUE

Scouting Grampies House-1/14/07

Scouted out My grandfathers old house today with Karebear. Sold to his brother once he died, the property now sits abandoned. Just a few Exteriors. Taken at night by PunkUE.
